# What is StaQ?

StaQ is a leading protocol targeting staking solution for Bitcoin L2 ecosystem. 

StaQ is providing a simple way to get rewards with your L2 native tokens. 

StaQ helps to optimize user's L2 token staking rewards with strategies designed by the core teams. 

StaQ makes staked tokens remain liquid and can be used across a range of other L2-based decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, getting extra rewards.


# What does StaQ resolve?

### Problem

Currently, lots of Bitcoin L2 are introduced as Proof-Of-Stake network. Staking with those networks provides a predictable return on investment, it does limit the liquidity of one's assets and restricts participation in other potentially profitable opportunities within the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem or on cryptocurrency exchanges.

### Solution

StaQ introduces multiple aspects on resolving the exsiting liquid staking issues:

* **Unified Staking Pool**. it helps to manage users deposits, withdrawals and reward claiming. It makes the tedious POS staking process much more easier with simple functions. Together with a clean frontend UIUX, users can join the liquid staking process without understanding the logic behind
* **'st'Tokens.** Unlike staked tokens, the StaQ 'st' Tokens are freely transferable instead of locked as in the case of native staking. StaQ lets users operate with staked tokens by leveraging collateral, lending, farming, and other kinds of DeFi protocols.
* **Steady Node Operators.** StaQ manages an secure and steady infrastructure for deploying and running validator nodes on different network. Nodes operated by StaQ has the top-level performance which is impossible to get slashed.
* **Interoperability of 'st' Tokens.**The staking tokens of different mainnets cannot be transferred between each other. StaQ uses the Bitcoin Layer 2 interoperability gateway, MAP Protocol, to enable the staking tokens of various Bitcoin Layer 2 mainnets to achieve liquidity interchange.

# stToken

stToken is a liquid staking token that you receive when you stake your native token on the StaQ protocol. These stToken **represent your staked native tokens in StaQ's staking pool.**&#x20;

They act as a receipt, allowing you to exchange them later on for your staked native tokens and the earned rewards. Meanwhile, you can use stToken in DeFi while the token's price accrues in value vs. the price of your native tokens.&#x20;

stTokens is a rewards-accruing liquid staking token. This means that after each L2 network epoch (varying between different networks), its value is recalculated based on the staking rewards earned by the StaQ Staking Pool. The price of stToken is calculated as follows:&#x20;

1. Select network you want to withdraw your tokens from

3. Connect Wallet
   * Account Details will show once the wallet is connected
     * **staMAPO Balance**: the stMAPO amount your address holds
     * **My Request**: Ready indicates the number of requests has been successfully processed; **Pending** indicates the requests that are in process
     * **My Pending Amount**: the amount that can be claimed

4. Choose the method for token withdrawal request
   * **Use StaQ**: this method will require entering the amount of stMAPO you want to withdraw. It will go through the standard node withdraw process which can take up to 15 days

   * **Use Aggregators**: this method will introduce aggregators on L2 which contains stMAPO and MAPO trading pair. It can accelerate the withdrawal process and skip the claim process

# Claim Process

### Claim Process

1. After wallet is connected in Withdrawal page
   * the bubble besides 'Claim' tab indicates the number of ready request
   * the account details will contains 'My pending Amount' which is the amount of MAPO can be claimed

2. Click on ‘Claim' button will retrieve all the MAPO token including your deposit and rewards.
3. The list below is the history panel which contains details of the requests
